Privacy Policy

Last updated October 15, 2026

Marble Racing is an interactive game streamed on Twitch at twitch.tv/ryjohnson, run by Ryan Johnson. Viewers join races from chat or from the Marble Racing Companion, a Twitch extension panel under the stream. This page explains what the game and the extension collect, why, and what you can do about it.

What we collect

What we don't do

How it's used

Only to run the game: to put your marble in a race with your name and look, to keep your progress, items and rating, to show the leaderboards (your display name and rating; Marble Points are never ranked), and to send you notices in the extension. Your display name and marble appear on the stream and on the leaderboards, which anyone watching can see.

Where it's kept

On a server in the United States, hosted by DigitalOcean, which also keeps backups of it. We keep our own backups of the database too, on the server and on a computer at Ryan's home, each for up to about 30 days, so when we delete your data it's gone from the backups once those roll off. The PC that runs the game keeps a log of each race's results (the marble names, Twitch user IDs and times) for working out time records; when you ask us to delete your data, we take your entries out of it too. Twitch handles your login and identity under Twitch's own privacy notice.

How long we keep it

For as long as the game runs, unless you ask us to delete it. The game is a work in progress, and game data is sometimes reset.

Your choices

Children

Twitch is for people 13 and older, and so is Marble Racing. We don't knowingly collect data from children under 13; if you believe we have, email us and we'll delete it.

Changes

If this policy changes, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
